Installation & Care
- Surface prep: Ensure the floor area is clean, level, and dry before spreading salt chunks. A containment border or frame is recommended to keep chunks in place.
- Spreading: Distribute chunks evenly to your desired depth. A depth of 1"–2" is typical for salt room flooring applications.
- Barefoot use: The 1"–3" chunk size is designed for comfortable barefoot walking. Avoid mixing with finer grades if a uniform texture is desired.
- Moisture: Salt is hygroscopic — store unused salt in a dry location and keep away from direct water contact outside of intended sauna or salt room use.
- Cleaning: Rake or redistribute chunks as needed. Remove debris with a dry method. Do not use water or liquid cleaners directly on salt surfaces.
- Bulk orders: Bulk quantities (1,100 lb and 2,000 lb) ship via motor freight. Coordinate delivery access accordingly.
